Expressing deep concern over the prevailing anti- social elements in the state, Minister for Health & Family Welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today asserted that a time has come to bring “total reformation” in the Naga society. In this, he challenged the people to come forward and unitedly voice against the illegal practices in the Naga society. He said the people should be bold enough to say this is wrong and do away with it.
The Minister was here today in connection with the inauguration of Kidima Village Council hall, unveiling the foundation stone of Kidi Basa, inauguration of agri-link road and khel link road, inauguration of local ground, Kidima women society guest house etc.
The Minister expressed happiness over the fast pace of developmental activities taking place in Kidima village and acknowledged the villagers for upholding and maintaining a sense of oneness, which he said, was a driving force behind such achievements.
Stating that unity and peaceful atmosphere is prerequisite for all round development, he asserted that without unity there will be no development. In this, he called upon the villagers to continue to maintain unity amongst themselves for progress and development of the village.
The Minister maintained Kidima Village Council Hall as the best council hall in the state which accommodates different offices of the village based organizations including a museum and internet facility.
Basing on quality construction and architect of this magnificent building, the Minister termed it as a living example to Nagas. This council hall, he said, must be a sacred place and it must deliver goods and justice to the people. He also expressed satisfaction over the successful implementation of various developmental packages through the channel of VDB and further advised them to do more good things.
Azo maintained that total transformation of the village can take place provided the VDB and NREGS funds are properly utilized. Also pleased with the good performance of the VDB in this village, he encouraged them to keep up the same spirit and set a good example to others.
Short speeches were also delivered by MLA Er. Vikho-o Yhoshü, Advisor IT&C and MLA K.V. Pusa.
MLA Er. Vikho-o Yhoshü, Advisor IT & C also inaugurated Tiema Khe Guest House and Kidima Women Guest House while K.V. Pusa inaugurated Agri Link Road and Khel Link Road.
Dr. Kedise Pucho presented report on developmental activities under MGNREGA scheme and VDB including the contributions from Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, MLA KV. Pusa and Ist class contractor Vilelie Khamo.
The function was chaired by Dr. Viral Yore. Welcome address was delivered by Mekruzeto Rikha, Chairman, Kidima village council while vote of thanks was proposed by Zasivoto Rote. Earlier, Yhoshü formally inaugurated Kidima Students’ Union (KSU) Library and launched its website marking the yearlong celebration of its Golden Jubilee which is scheduled next year.
