Kohima, May 20 (MExN): The Department of Youth Resources and Sports has informed that it will be organising a Baby League Grass Root Football 2026 on June 13 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
According to an official update, the league aims to promote physical fitness and a platform to prepare aspiring children to take up sports as a career. It informed that the department will select candidates and provide necessary training/ coaching, based on their performances.
Likewise, it has directed the interested candidates to collect the form and submit it to the office of the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports on or before June 11.
At the same time, it notified that the league is purely for Boys & Girls in the age group of 5-6 years of age, 7-8 years of age, 9-10 years of age and 11-12 years of age.
Further, it stated that refreshment will be provided to all the participants along with jersey and shorts. Participants have been asked to bring their own football boots, shin guard, stocking, gloves and water bottles.
