TULI, May 31 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) Tuli Chapter was launched by BAN members led by its President, L Mongkum Jamir on May 30.
The launching programme was held in the presence of Peter Lokho, AGM, SBI RBO Mokokchung, Tendimongba, Branch Manager SBI Tuli, Ranjit Dutta Branch Manager SBI Tzudikong, officials from All Ward Union Tuli, Tzudikong Adhoc Town Council and entrepreneurs from Tuli area.
A DIPR report stated that Peter Lokho, in his brief speech said, “There are lots of opportunities the bank has to offer to the upcoming Naga entrepreneurs by granting various kinds of business loans with subsidies provided the youth are determined to do their business with commitment.”
Details of the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI), Mudra loan, Stand Up India, MSME, and many other government schemes that can be availed by genuine entrepreneurs were highlighted by Mongkum Jamir. He stressed that subsidy should not be a means to do business.
The BAN President asserted that local entrepreneurs are themselves to be held responsible to create the ecosystem and should not depend on others to do it for them. He also said that BAN’s objective is to uplift and pave ways for the economic growth of the Naga society with a focus on young entrepreneurs.
BAN Nagaland, Executive Council members Tiatemsu Longchar and Akum Jamir also highlighted various kinds of upcoming schemes to be implemented with the help of BAN Nagaland which will be initiated through the BAN Tuli Chapter in Tuli sub-division.
The meeting was chaired by Imnanungsang Lemtor, convener, BAN Tuli Chapter, invocation by Molung Tzudir, Proprietor, Tzudir Restaurant and vote of thanks by Secretary, Pangerkumba.
