Basic course of guide captain conducted

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): The basic course of guide captain was held at State Training Centre (STC), Nerhema from April 6 to 11. Altogether 16 trainees from four district participated in the programme.
A press release received here informed that Wokha was represented by Don Bosco Secondary School and Regimental School, Dimapur by Government Middle School Burma Camp and Logos School Sovima, Kohima by St. Joseph School, Christ King Higher Secondary School, Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Trinity School New Police Reserve and Government Middle School Kedima and Tuensang by SHSS and Sao Chang College.
The camp fire was held on April 11 with Khyomo Lotha, former MP and state chief commissioner, Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides (NSBSG). Other officials present in the function were K. Neibu Sekhose, state treasurer, NSBSG and Zakiekhotuo Kiso, assistant state commissioner (Scout) & publicity NSBSG. The highlights of the function were skits and cultural dance from Tuensang follow by welcome address by Vimezhono (SOC) Guides and camp report by I. Amenla Soyah, LOC and vote of thanks by Grace.
Earlier, the chief guest Khyomo lauded both the Headquarters Faculties and the trainees for their active participation in the basic course for guide captain. He has emphasis on the importance of Scouts & Guides contributions to the society and appeal to the trainees to be a role model in their respective districts and also to propagate and create awareness especially in moulding the younger generation to become more self-reliance and responsible citizens in our society and said that we should not only focus on physical trainings but more on intellectual, moral and spiritual aspect too.
