Kohima, June 3 (MExN): The 10-day online basic course in screen acting training conducted by Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) in collaboration with Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), the nodal department for films in Nagaland concluded on June 3.
The training resource person, Anita Salim expressed happiness at the progress made by the students and hoped that the students will continue to work hard and make a name for themselves.
During the training, the participants were taught on various exercises on improvisation, visualization, imagination, monologue etc. They were also taught on how to get in character, interact and use their surroundings, stated a DIPR report.
The participants appreciated FTII and IPR for conducting the training. Sasha Pienyii, a participant, stated that she learned about technical acting adding that it has made a huge impact in her acting. Mayangniken said that the training has helped him to learn to adapt to his surrounding and also helped him in public speaking. Kikrupfelie Neikha stated that personal interaction with the teacher has helped him to learn a lot more. Viketoulie stated that he learnt how to be a little more confident and has found new inspiration to be able to work in larger groups. Rajat Limbu said through the training, he has been exposed to the department of acting and films, his perspective of learning and teaching film and art has been positively broaden.
Film appreciation course will be held in the coming days, DIPR report added.
