Bhandari SDPDB honours HSLC and HSSLC Toppers 2025

MLA and Chairman SDPDB, Bhandari Achumbemo Kikon with officers, toppers of HSLC and HSSLC from Bhandari sub division, with their parents during the Felicitation programme held at Bhandari.

The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Bhandari, held a felicitation programme at the Conference Hall of the Summer House-cum-Guest House, Bhandari, honouring the three outstanding students from the sub-division who excelled in the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2025.

In the Science stream, Benrithung Ovung, son of Thungjamo Ovung from Koro Village and a student of St. John Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured a Top 5 (b) position. In the Arts stream, Lorenchumi R. Humtsoe, daughter of L. Rhonthungo Humtsoe of New Ralan Village and student of Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, achieved a Top 6 rank. Meanwhile, Chumlanthung Ranthang, son of Renbi Ranthang from Baghty Village and student of Queen Mary School, Mokokchung, secured a position within the Top 20 (a).

MLA and Chairman of the SDPDB, Achumbemo Kikon, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the toppers, applauding them for bringing pride not only to their respective schools, villages, and the sub-division, but also to the Lotha community as a whole.

Describing the achievement as a proud moment, Kikon encouraged the students to continue striving towards their goals with determination, urging them to inspire their peers and younger generations to follow in their footsteps. He also congratulated all successful candidates, adding that the performance of the three toppers demonstrated the academic potential of students from Bhandari sub-division. He further expressed confidence that with consistent effort from both students and teachers, academic excellence can continue to thrive.

The toppers were honoured with certificates of commendation and cash awards.

Rev Longshithung Mozhui, Pastor of the Baptist Church, Bhandari Town, offered a prayer of blessing for the toppers and all successful candidates. He also encouraged those who did not qualify this year not to lose heart, but to try again with renewed faith in themselves.

Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of SDPDB Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, NCS, delivered the vote of thanks, marking the conclusion of the programme.
