Bhandari, November 19 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Bhandari Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) was convened at the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari on November 18.
According to a DIPR report, presiding over the meeting, Longasen Lotha, ADC & Vice Chairman of SDPDB Bhandari, welcomed the board members and reviewed the minutes of the previous session.
Officials from the agriculture and veterinary departments presented their reports. The Deputy Director of the Seed farm in Merapani highlighted the farm's ongoing activities.
Dr Kikali G Sumi, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) from Merapani, briefed the board on an awareness campaign conducted in various villages concerning Disease Economic Emergency and Zoonotic importance under the ‘Assistance to the state for control of animal diseases’ scheme. The VAS informed that free veterinary aids were distributed and pets were vaccinated during the campaign, adding that the situation is now under control.
During the meeting, the President of the LLRPO appealed to the authorities for the early completion of the foothills road work. He also urged the public to cooperate with developmental activities undertaken on their land and appreciated local MLA Achumbemo Kikon for his initiatives towards public welfare.
The ADC informed the board that the Pre-Christmas cum SDPDB Meeting for December 2025 will be held at Ralan. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the ADC, Bhandari.
