The office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima today organized a Bicycle Rally as part of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral participation (SVEEP) Campaign under the theme ‘No Voter To Be Left Behind.’
It was flagged by Kohima deputy commissioner Shanavas C from DC office complex and it culminated at Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion, Shanavas, who is also District Election Officer said that the aim of the SVEEP rally is to ensure by making people aware and carrying a message to impact at least a few people which would bring a huge change that every vote counts and no voter would be left behind.
He said that the campaign assume importance as Nagaland going for polls on February 27.
He hoped that the campaign will carry the message of fair and clean election.
The aim of the campaign is to make elections inclusive, accessible, and ethical.
He also thanked the riders for their participation and urged them to carry a message of electoral participation for a change and a better future.
