Manipur caretaker Chief Minister, N Biren Singh called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union ministers in New Delhi today.

The caretaker CM is currently camping in the national capital and his meeting with the senior national leaders of the BJP was amid the pending election of the leader of the BJP legislature party of Manipur to form the next government. 
The BJP Parliamentary Board is in the process of selection of the next chief minister of the state with N Biren Singh and Th Bishwajit Singh as the forerunners.

Biren Singh today called on some national leaders of the party including the Prime Minister in New Delhi. After meeting with the Prime Minister, Biren Singh, in his Facebook post commented, “I had the privilege to call on Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji today.” He added that under the guidance and leadership of the PM, the state has witnessed peace and development, which the people of the state have been longing for.  “Modi Ji’s zeal for service to people will always continue to inspire us,” he added.

After meeting with the Union Home minister, he wrote that over the years, his (Amit Shah) “genuine concern” and love for Manipur have won the hearts of the people of the state.  Biren added that Amit Shah’s contribution in improving the law and order situation and making Manipur one of the most tranquil states in the country will be remembered in history.

 “I’m truly blessed to serve the people of this nation under your guidance and support. We will continue to seek your blessings as we continue our service for the people,” Biren added.

He also met with Union Defense minister Rajnath Singh today. 

 “I have always embraced Rajnath Ji’s guidance and support for Manipur in various aspects over the years. He is someone who is always ready to extend any help for the well-being of Manipur and BJP Manipur,” he further wrote on Facebook.

He thanked the Union Defense minister for his “kind words” during the meeting.
