DIMAPURM, FEBRUARY 19 (MExN): Bharatiya Janata Party central leaders including BL Santosh, BJP National General Secretary (Org); Rituraj Sinha, BJP National Secretary and Co-ordinator BJP Northeast; and Nalin Kohli, BJP National Spokesperson and Nagaland State in-charge arrived at Atoizu Headquarter, Zunheboto District on February 19 as a part of the election campaign for the lone BJP woman candidate Er Kahuli Sema.
They held a party meeting with BJP Zunheboto District, State level officials, Atoizu Mandal officials and Booth level workers, informed a press release from BJP Media Cell, Zunheboto District.
BL Santosh said that the BJP and NDPP will form a government. He further stated that the lone woman BJP candidate Er Kahuli Sema will come out victorious with the blessing from the central leadership and will bring new development under Atoizu constituency.
He further said that Er Kahuli Sema is well qualified and has familiarity in procedures and dealing with the government authorities and has the advantages to channel the development with the centre to solve the obstacles that people of Atoizu are facing today.
Rituraj Sinha in his speech apprised the party members to focus, unite and work together affectively for the BJP candidate since they have less than ten days to go for polls. Sinha informed that the BJP is contesting 20 seats in Nagaland and there is only one woman BJP candidate. Citing the reason why they handpicked Er Kahuli Sema, he said that the latter has served the government in a high position and has achieved a good record and experience.
Nalin Kolhi in his speech said that serving people is serving God and bringing development is how leaders serve people. He further stated that no Prime Minister has visited the northeast more than Narendra Modi. He said that the BJP has setup three candidates in Zunheboto district and seeks to win in all the constituencies.
Er Kahuli Sema meanwhile observed that not even a single kilometer of blacktopped roads exists at Atoizu. She added that all the government offices under her constituency are without proper infrastructure and most of them are in dilapidated state.
Sema said that India cannot grow by prospering in some corners and leaving others underdeveloped. She said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she has seen tremendous development in Nagaland and the Northeast.
