Mokokchung, August 25 (MExN): In preparation for the election 2023, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mokokchung District organised a ‘Morcha Interface’ at its office on August 25.
The interface was held as the winds of 2023 assembly election winds blows in Nagaland with the high profile three-day visit of BJP National General Secretary (Org.) BL Santosh, stated a press release from the district unit.
During the event, Vice President, I Lanutoshi Longkumer said that the visit of the National General Secretary is a testament of how the central leadership, especially the BJP, is giving importance to the Naga people.
Naga people should take the most opportune time provided through the astute political leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Nagaland State Unit President Temjen Imna Along and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, he asserted.
Oyimpong Longchar, President STM, BJP Mokokchung informed that the programme was also organised as directed by district president as a “thanksgiving to God for leading the party thus far” and mass prayer for the BJP Nagaland was held at 12 noon.
Kisan Morcha, BJP Mokokchung President Tiayanger Jamir in his exhortation said that such interaction among the Morchas is much needed for better cohesion, cooperation and mobilisation of working force at the grass root level.
Kilemsungba Longkumer, General Secretary of 26 Aonglenden Mandal also gave a short speech and it concluded with a benediction by Kisan Morcha General Secretary Tiamenla and salute to the National Anthem.
