Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): Following the directives from Central BJP, an emergency get-together was organised at BJP Dimapur Office, Dimapur with the initiative of the Bharatiya Janata Legislative Party leader (BLP) and Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y. Patton.
According to a press release issued by BJP Nagaland Media Cell host of the Nagaland BJP workers including the twelve BJP legislators celebrated the party’s victory of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election on May 15.
Addressing the party workers, Patton on behalf of the State BJP said that it is a historic win for BJP. Besides thanking the voters of Karnataka for voting for the party, he also acknowledged all the North East people and the Nagas in particular residing at Bengaluru, for honouring the appeals made in the recent visit to the city as a part of the Nagaland Election Campaign team for BJP.
State President Visasolie Lhoungu congratulated the State BJP Campaign Team led by DCM Y. Patton accompanied by Health & Family Welfare Minister S. Pangyu Phom, Higher and Technical Minister Temjen Imna Along and others who represented the BJP Nagaland and has vigorously participated in the campaign with its resources, time and energy from May 3 to 8.
Meanwhile, the State BJP also observed one minute silence as a mark of respect and honour in remembrance of the sudden demise of its senior leader Late K.Medom who passed away on May 11 after a brief illness at Dimapur.
