BJP Nagaland welcomes new members

Kohima, November 4 (MExN): BJP Nagaland State president, Visasolie Lhoungu received new members at a function held at the party head office in Kohima on November 3. All the new members are from 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency, informed a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell.

Lhoungu stated that BJP is 25 years old in Nagaland, but it has not made much impact so far in the State. Informing that the Central government is now putting its attention towards the State, he mentioned all possible efforts will be extended to the BJP Nagaland unit. “The party is trying its best to make a mark in the state,” Lhoungu maintained.   He therefore exhorted the party workers to work hard. “BJP never forget those who work hard for the party.”

In the 2018 State general election, he stated, “BJP appears to be the only clear alternative political party to form a new government in the state as other political parties in Nagaland are gripped into serious crisis with fractured factions.”

He assured that BJP will consolidate its position in the coming election to provide a corruption free government and bring development to the state, the release said. “Certainly, the party will provide a difference in governance,” he added.

Meanwhile, BJP State general secretary, Eduzu Theluo expressed happiness that the new members will strengthen the party in general and Chozuba Assembly Constituency in particular, according to the press release.

Vedayi Nyekha, a former CPO president and also former GS and DAN Member Secretary from BJP, who led the new members to the function, was accompanied by Zuchucho Rhakho and other members, the release said. Nyekha expressed that it was his homecoming to BJP again. He asserted that he will take up with commitment any challenges that come along. “Although a deserter once from the party, he said he will do his part to strengthen the party with steadfastness,” the press release added.
