BJYM political awareness prog in Senapati held

Senapati, March 3 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton stated that the Bhartiya Janata Party would deliver the aspirations of the people to get more representations.

He stated this while maintaining that there is an uneven representation among the hill areas in Manipur and delimitation would take place in 2026. Patton said that it is important for the people to be with the government to get their due share of representation while addressing at the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) political awareness programme at Mini Stadium, Senapati on March 1, informed a press release from Media Cell, Dy CMO.

To this end, he appealed the hill people to vote for the BJP party to accelerate development and interest of the hill areas under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Biren Singh.

The BJP Legislature Party leader in Nagaland also condemned the reported statement made by the NPF working president Huska Yeptho on February 16 at Senapati and stated it was an 'insult' to Prime Minister Modi, the release said without specifying. 

Also addressing electorates of Karong assembly constituency, State President, BJP Nagaland Temjen Imna Along said that election is a time to choose representatives wisely to deliver the needs of the people.

“So whom do your choose to send-somebody who is an Independent who had no head and a tail, somebody in  Congress who have been in the opposition with no future leadership or to NPF who is going to join the BJP to be the second fiddle or any other parties,” he reportedly added. 

The Nagaland Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, thus, appealed the electorate to vote for 
R Yuh Jonathan Tao, the party candidate. 

He asserted that the divide between the hills and valleys have been decreased under BJP leadership, the release said. 

Earlier, speeches were also delivered by Nagaland Advisors Kazheto Kinimi, H Haiying, Dr Longrineken.

R Yuh Benjamin Tao, the BJP Candidate, 47-Karong (ST) and the vice-president of BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge, OBC Manipur also address the gathering.
