Kohima, May 29 (MExN): Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), S Phangnon Konyak released a book entitled ‘Folktale of the Konyak Nagas’ by E Echu Konyak on May 28. The MP congratulated the author for bringing out such a book. She said that writing a book is a collective effort and to be documented, it takes special people with special interpreters. Dr Lanusangla Tzudir, Publisher and Chief Editor, Heritage Publication House, Dimapur stressed on the need to keep on writing stories from “our perspective, otherwise we won't be able to represent ourselves to the outside world.” She acknowledged the Konyak community for their rich tradition, culture, stories, adding that they have a lot of stories to tell the world. E Echu Konyak said that he was able to complete the book through the “grace of God and His wisdom.”
