
Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): Several business associations of Myanmar from Naypyidaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Region and Chin State and NEFIT (India) that comprises like-minded business investors from Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal are preparing to have a border trade business meet in Naypyidaw in early September 2017 with the participation of the high-level governmental officials of Myanmar. In the meantime, efforts are also being made to achieve signing of MoU in the first week of September in Naypyidaw, Myanmar. Wang Yu, Managing Director of Shwe Naung Yan Company, who is also head of the organizing committee, Myanmar Chapter and CK Moirangmayum, VP of NEFIT and President of Manipur Chapter will facilitate the event scheduled to happen as mentioned above. Invitation to Naga entrepreneurs & business investors from Nagaland In a brief visit to India, Wang Yu has also informed B. Longkumer, Officer on Special Duty so that Naga entrepreneurs and business investors from Nagaland State may also participate in the event to venture out trans-boundary business opportunities between Myanmar and India, and further with the ASEAN nations. The event is expected to pave a way for border area development on both sides and border trade business opportunities. As branch office of KRRV is opened in Yangon, Naga business entrepreneurs are encouraged to be connected with it for better business opportunities in the future. Rio highlights on need of border development and trade On border area development and the need for development of trade in the region, Neiphiu Rio, MP to Lok Sabha and former Chief Minister of Nagaland had attended International Business Launch in Mandalay, Myanmar on June 11 and highlighted the need of border trade centers of Avakhong-Layshi, Pangsha-Lahe, Longwa-Lahe, Khongsa-Namyun and Somra-Tasom along the Nagaland State border. “The Lok Sabha MP has been regarded for having a vast knowledge on the region and warmly received by the incumbent government of Myanmar,” stated a press note received here. “Business community in Myanmar is also pleased to learn that during his short stay in Myanmar, Rio has earned confidence of the government for better business ties in the near future,” it added. To this effect, Rio, Lok Sabha MP will be attending the event scheduled in September as the special guest of the event.
