Brahmaputra Board converge in Nagaland for meeting

  Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The 66th meeting of Brahmaputra Board was held in the conference hall at Niathu Resort, Dimapur on June 29 hosted by the Department of Irrigation and Flood Control Nagaland.   According to a DIPR report, the meeting was chaired by the Chairman of Brahmaputra Board Rajiv Yadav. While welcoming the members he pointed out the Brahmaputra Board body should be able to take care of all state vital resources of region and that the states should extract maximum benefits from these resources.   The Brahmaputra Board besides the chairman consists of vice chairman, members from central government/ministry/organization/agency and regular members of Brahmaputra Board, B.B officials from Guwahati, Shillong and Chief Engineers of Water Resources Department of North Eastern State and the officials of the state department of irrigation and flood control.   The Brahmaputra Board members from different parts of north east in the round table discussion had a detail talks on the agendas and action taken in the previous 65thmeeting of B.B.   The Brahmaputra Board which is responsible for preparations and implementation of plans related to flood management erosion control, drainage management and water resources development detailed deliberation on various agendas prepared project report.
