DIMAPUR, AUGUST 8 (MExN): Apprehensive of influx of illegal immigrants into the state as a fall out of the NRC exercise in Assam, the Naga Hoho has urged the state government to urgently bring Dimapur district under Inner Line Permit (ILP) zone.
Communication Cell, Naga Hoho on Wednesday said it has become imperative for every tribe hoho to seriously act on the issue of influx of illegal immigrants particularly to urban areas.
It has become the responsibility of every Naga citizen to be a contributing factor towards eradicating this menace. In this regard, every house owners/ land owners should not provide shelter to illegal immigrants just for the sake of cheap labor or otherwise, the Naga Hoho press release read.
While acknowledging the initiative taken by the NSF and district administration (s), the Naga Hoho requested the concerned authorities to strictly man all the check posts, railway station and the roads connecting to Assam.
