BSI releases Maram Bible at Katomei Baptist Church

Senapati, August 1 (MExN): The Bible Society of India releases the Maram Bible at Katomei Baptist Church, Katomei village, Senapati, Manipur on August 1.

The procession started by carrying the Ark containing the Bible from Katomei village junction to Katomei Baptist Church, stated a press release issued by Rev Yepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur. 

The releasing ceremony is moderated by KR Bilong, Youth Secretary, Maram Naga Baptist Association (MRNBA). Invocation is pronounced by H Lengo Wilson, Vice President, MNRBA. Rev H Kaba Maram, Executive Secretary, MRNBA proposed words of welcome to the BSI Staff, all the Church leaders and members present. He expresses his gratitude to Rev Dr Along for finding sponsorship for the printing cost of the Bibles. 

TS Suiny Soul Maram gives a brief report of the Translation.  Rev Dr Zhodi Angami, Associate Translation Director, Shillong and Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, Dimapur brought greetings.

Rev Dr Along Jamir, Director Translation, BSI released the Maram Bible. He stated that without meeting in person and only through whatsApp and email communication, Pearis Arokiaraj and his mother Anvi Josely Sulias sponsored the printing cost of the Bible. 

Rev Chris Maraiba, Mission Secretary proposed vote of thanks. Katomei Baptist Church and Maram Youth presented special song. Dr Chansa Makan, Pastor Katomei Baptist Church pronounced benediction.
