
Dimapur, March 20 (MExN): The Bible Society of India released the Monsang Naga Bible on March 19 at Liwa Sarei Baptist Church, Chandel, Manipur. Leaders and members of the Churches of the Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MNBCA) came to witness the release of the much awaited Bible, according to a press release received here on Monday.
On the occasion, Rev Alani Shongsir, Executive Secretary, expressed appreciation to the Bible Society of India for helping them to get their Bible. He also thanked Rev Th Rockson and Checking Committee members for their sincere and hard work in bringing out the Bible in Monsang language. He extended gratitude to Churches for their support and cooperation extended to MNBCA and thanked God for the blessings that they have received.
Rev Th Rockson, the translator, thanked God and Rev Zambolis Saekmei, Advisor for his sincere help extended to the translation works. He shared the challenges and difficulties that he faced and said that there could be mistakes; however, they could be corrected in the future. It took more than 10 years to complete translation of both Old Testament and New Testament, he said.
Meanwhile, Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur released the Monsang Naga Bible on behalf of the BSI. He was accompanied by Joyson Thangal, Assistant Marketing Officer, BSI, shared greetings. The Auxiliary Secretary shared that they now have the words of God in their heart language and urged the people to read the Bible and be blessed.
