
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 19 (MExN): The Sümi Bible Edited Version was released on February 19 at Purna Bazar Sümi Baptist Church, East Dimapur. The release programme was organized by the Sümi Baptist Convention.
“All the denominations worked together and attended the release programme. The Sümi believers are thankful to the Chief Editor and Editing Committee Members and Meyijungla Ozukum, Translation Adviser who worked hard in bringing out the Sümi Bible Edited Version,” a press release from the organizers stated.
Tovishe Shohe, Executive Secretary, SABAK chaired the worship service. Dr Kiyeho Sema, Field Secretary, NCRC, Ayinato recorded all the proceedings. Rev Dr Yehevi Jimo, Sr Pastor, TVBC pronounced the opening prayers. Rev Dr Hotokhu Zhimomi President shared words of welcome and introduced the members. Meyijungla Ozukum, Translation Adviser brought greetings on behalf of the BSI. She appreciated the Chief Editor and Committee Members for their hard work. Dr Hokishe Yeptho, Editing Committee Member brought greetings and thanked the editing members for their commitment and cooperation.
Rev Dr Khehovi Shohe, Convener of Editing Committee, the Director of Sümi Baptist Convention shared the challenges they encountered in the editing process. He also shared words of gratitude to all the members for their cooperation and sincerity in the assigned works.
Songs of praises to God were presented by Local Church Choir and students of Trinity Theological College. Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur released the Sumi Bible Edited Version and shared the words of God from Hebrews 4:12-13. He stated that the Word of God is active, powerful and full of energy. He further challenged the congregation to read and be transformed to transform the world. He shared that there are still many language groups who are anxiously waiting to have the ‘Word of God’ in their heart languages. He appealed to ‘believers’ to support the ministry of the BSI so that the unreached people’s groups will be reached with the ‘living Word of God.’
Rev Dr Joshua Rochill, Pastor, Aizuto prayed for the offering and Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, WSBAK proposed the vote of thanks. Rev Dr ZK Rochill, Sr Pastor, PBSBCED pronounced the benediction.
