Dimapur, August 13 (MExN): Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a series of customer-centric digital initiatives and special promotional offers to mark India’s 80th Independence Day.
In a statement, BSNL Nagaland extended greetings to customers, citizens, business partners, associates, and employees while reiterating its commitment to providing reliable, secure, affordable, and inclusive digital connectivity across the country.
As part of the Independence Day rollouts, BSNL launched the 'Re 1 Freedom 2.0' mobile offer, which provides 1 GB of data per day, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls with a validity of 24 days.
The public sector unit has also introduced the 'Fiber Freedom Plan' at a special introductory price of Rs 1,111 per month. The high-speed broadband plan offers internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps, 5,000 GB of monthly data, and complimentary access to over 25 premium OTT platforms.
Expanding its digital entertainment portfolio, BSNL announced that mobile subscribers can now access 'BSNL Entertainment TV'—powered by Tango—free of cost via the BSNL Self-care App. The service delivers live television channels and on-demand entertainment content directly to mobile devices.
Highlighting its specialized infrastructure, BSNL showcased its Global Satellite Phone Services (GSPS). The service utilizes satellite links to provide voice communication in remote, geographically challenging, and security-sensitive locations where conventional terrestrial mobile networks are unavailable.
BSNL stated that these initiatives aim to enhance customer experience, expand digital services, and make advanced connectivity and entertainment more accessible and affordable.
Reaffirming its alignment with the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Digital India,' BSNL emphasized its commitment to building a resilient, future-ready telecommunications network powered by indigenous technologies.
The public sector telecom provider added that its workforce remains dedicated to serving the nation by maintaining communication links even under harsh geographical and climatic conditions, supporting inclusive growth, and strengthening India's digital future.
