Pfütsero, October 10 (MExN): A workshop on church music and worship was organised by Baptist Theological College (BTC), Pfütsero from October 7 to 9 “in the College with a view to enhance worship services in order to transform the life of the worshippers.”
The workshop dwelt on the theme “Dynamic Relationship between Church Music and Worship.”
A total of 36 delegates representing various churches under Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCCC) attended the workshop.
Resource persons included Leong Chin Yee, from Barker Road Methodist Church, Singapore; Dr Eyingbeni Humtsoe-Nienu, Principal of BTC; and Anuri Luruo, Music Teacher at BTC.
The devotions were led by Dr Vekutulu L. Veyie, Vice Principal of BTC and Medovolu Swuro, Asst Professor in New Testament at BTC. The sessions included areas on music and worship in Bible, supplemental elements of music theory, patterns of vocalization, elements and phases of worship service, sight singing and ear training, choir organization and rehearsal techniques, and choir conducting and cantorship skills. All the delegates received a certificate of participation.
