TVS Motor logs 18 per cent sales growth in July Chennai: Two-and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company on Wednesday said it closed July selling at 321,179 units. It logged 18 per cent sales growth and closed last month selling at 321,179 units, up from 217,171 units sold in July 2017, a statement said. In July, the company sold 307,856 two wheelers as against 263,336 units sold in July 2017. Three-wheeler sale of the company grew by 70 per cent, from 7,835 units in July 2017 to 13,323 units registered in July 2018. Maruti Suzuki’s July sales slips by 0.6% Mumbai: Automobile major Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday reported a marginal decline of 0.6 per cent in its overall sales including exports in July 2018. According to the company, overall sales during the month under review inched-lower to 164,369 units from 165,346 units sold during July 2017. The overall sales include 154,150 units in the domestic market and 10,219 units which were exported. “Domestic sales growth in July 2018 may be seen in context of high wholesales in July 2017,” the automobile major said in a statement. Ashok Leyland logs 27% volume growth in July Chennai: Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland Ltd on Wednesday said it closed July with 27 per cent growth in sales volume. In a statement issued here, the company said it sold 15,199 units last month, up from 11,981 units sold in July 2017. A major part of the growth in sales was contributed by its light commercial vehicles segment.
