As a regular user of Bye Pass to Kohima town road, I have experienced the road at its worst condition mainly due to poor maintenance by BRO. However, a drastic change of road landscape is now visible after our reputed contractor Vilelie Khamo took the charge. Heavy machineries and manpower engaged in road widening, drainage system, erecting retaining walls in all the land areas, leveling the road surface, road soiling etc is in full swing.
Mr. Vilelie Khamo having a history of quality workmanships is highly expected to deliver the same quality work in this stretch of National Highway. His quality of work will be a testimony that Naga contractors can also handle National Highway.
The sacrificial contribution of the leaders of the T. Khel Kohima Village and the affected land owners in initiating road widening is one of the greatest gifts to the Nagas.
I wish and pray that God give Sir Vilelie Khamo good health and wisdom in completing his project within the stipulated time. I wish that this stretch of road being the main gateway to the state capital may become the most beautiful and the favorite highway for all the travelers.
Lastly, but not the least, expecting to see this road, pothole free, dust free etc.
