CAKSU distributes smartphones to students

Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The Chakhro Angami Kuda Students’ Union (CAKSU), distributed 21 new smart phones to students in need, to help them cope with their education in this uncertain and unprecedented times where online impartation of education and e-learning has become the norm.

According to a press release from the union, funds for the smartphones were sourced via crowd funding under the initiative of CAKSU, with the theme, ‘Empowering the Students in Need.’

Through this outreach programme, the union has extended help to students from various tribes and communities. The distribution programme was held on July 24 at Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) office at Kacharigaon, Phevima Village with the support and encouragement of its parent bodies—the CAKU, Kuda Razha Angamimiapfü Krotho (KRAK), and Advisors.

The phones were presented to the students in the presence of their parents and guardians. The students were also advised on wise and judicious use of smartphones, to leverage modern technology in the quest of quality education and learning, the release stated.
