Camporee 2018- a local or regional camping event for Scouts is underway at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Dimapur. The inaugural ceremony of Camporee 2018 was held on April 13 at Don Bosco ground in Dimapur. Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
Addressing the Camporee participants from Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Along articulated national integration as an immense subject today and the Bharat Scout and Guides are playing a great role in breaking the boundaries contributing towards national integration.
"I have always envied Scouts uniform and there are many who feel the same. The relationship that you share is greatly valued and it is not only about the uniform but about discipline and self respect,” communicated Along.
The legislator exhorted the participants that when they come together they become casteless and through this Camporee he hoped that they would get to know each other and bear in mind that they are one irrespective of the region they come from.
“Let us strive to build a strong future and at the end of the Camporee 2018 acquire collective evocative period while discovering to dream big, hold on the dream and never give up,” heartened the legislator to the Scouts and Guides.
