DIMAPUR, AUGUST 6 (MExN): Can Youth in Collaboration with Regional Ayurvedic Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, Nagaland organized a free medical camp on August 5 at Namgalong Colony, Ward 5, Burma camp Dimapur based on the theme ‘Health and Wellness’ under the Ministry of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 2.0.

The free medical camp also included awareness on mental health and importance of millets for good health and distribution of free ayurvedic medicine. The awareness programme was chaired by Nuyielu Nyekha, Project Lead, Can Youth and Dr Deepak Rahangdale Yograj from Regional Ayurvedic Research Centre (RARC) spoke on mental health and wellness. 

Dr Neetu S Mohan stressed on the importance of millets, celebrating the International Year of Millets (IYOM) 2023. She mentioned that millet has advantages in the body since it has more calcium, vitamins and minerals. She also stated that side effects may occur if Ayurvedic medicine is used excessively and mostly during allergies it is advised to use less ayurvedic medicine. 

Over 100 people took part in the medical camp. It was also attended by the RARC team, Can Youth staff, MSW interns from NEISSR and pearl adolescents club.
