Wins for Head Hunters and Arsenic FC

Head Hunters 164 Inf. Battalion TA and Arsenic FC Zunheboto today registered wins in their respective matches on day one of the 5th edition of Captain N Kenguruse Memorial Football tournament organized by Assam Rifles, IGAR (North) here at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima .
Head Hunters 164 Inf. Battalion TA defeated Khriekesa FC 2-1 in the inaugural match.
Arsenic FC Zunheboto overpowered Green Club Zunheboto 2-1 in the second match of the day.
Earlier, gracing the inaugural function, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), Major General Pradeep Nair, YSM said that the tournament is being organized for the fifth time for the youth of Nagaland in honour of Capt N Kenguruse, MVC who laid down his life while fighting Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999.
To ensure that his name lives on in the memory of the younger generation, Assam Rifles organizes this tournament.
“The Nation salutes the brave martyr who serves as a beacon of love for the country. He epitomises sacrifice and indomitable courage. His memory lives on in many ways including this football tournament,” he said.
Neisalie Kenguruse, father of Captain N Kengruruse also spoke at the inaugural function.
