Students during the career and job fair at Patkai Christian College (Autonomous).

PATKAI, MARCH 30 (MExN): A one-day career and job fair was organized by the Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) at NSS Park and the college's conference hall.
A total of 23 organizations, including educational institutions, career and training institutes, and business establishments, participated in the fair. Seven companies conducted recruitment drives, including Talent Acquaintance BPO, Jio, SBI Life, Barbeque Nation, First Meridian Global Services Pvt. Ltd. (formerly V5 Global Services Pvt. Ltd.), and ICICI.

In the career progression category, 16 institutions took part, including Eaglecrest (Tourism & Hospitality), Imperial IAS Academy, Arms Incorporation, HCL Technology, Amantya Technology, Women Industrial Training Institute (WITI), AIDA Don Bosco, Meghalaya Institute of Technology (MIT), State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Oriental Theological Seminary, Kaziranga University, Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), and the 22 Assam Rifles, Ghaspani Batallion.

Speaking at the event, Dimapur District Employment Officer Gideon L Sumi encouraged students to remain goal-oriented. “Nobody is here without a purpose, and you must find your purpose,” he said, emphasizing that a sense of purpose drives individuals toward their future.

Meanwhile, the Regional Investor Seminar for Awareness was conducted in the college’s conference hall for students and faculty. Vikas S.S., general manager of SEBI Eastern Regional Office, and Sanjib Kumar Bora from BSE Investor Protection Fund spoke on the securities market, explaining key financial products such as equities, derivatives, and mutual funds.
