The Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) Children Ministry & Music Ministry has organised “Music Recital Project 2026” on September 21 at the church sanctuary under the theme “Thankful, Grateful.”
The event featured 19 performances by 83 students across piano, drums, violin, guitar, and voice courses.
This project is part of the preparations for the Children Ministry’s Jubilee celebration in 2026.
The recital was graced by Surhuveyi Tetseo (LRSM), Managing Director of De Operattas Music Institute, Kohima. In his address to the congregation, Tetseo emphasized the privilege of being able to sing and play music in praise of God. He encouraged the students to work diligently and seek their calling in life. He also urged parents to remain steadfast in supporting their children, especially during challenging times. Further, he reminded well-wishers and the church community that all good things come from the Lord, and that we should worship Him with our songs and music.
Earlier, Khruhizo Dozo delivered welcome address while CBCK senior pastor Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh invoked God’s blessings. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prelou Mero while Rev Vikou Rhi pronounced benediction. The programme was compered by Wekhrope Akami.
