DIMAPUR, MAY 5 (MExN): The National level monitoring official under the Ministry of Rural Development, Abu Nasar N Laskar, after visiting villages in RD Block of Kuhuboto and Dhansiripar has given “a nod of impression that Dimapur district is doing well in successfully implementing the schemes under the ministry.”
A press note informed that the NLM official led by Kashiho Sangtam, DPO, DRDA Dimapur; Hekato N. Yeptho, DPO, Land Resources, Dimapur; Y Shikato Jimo, Welfare Inspector, Social Welfare Dimapur; Samuel Phom, BDO Dhansiripar and Kihoto Achumi, JE RD Block Dhansiripar visited villages under RD Block Dhansiripar, on Saturday and inspected various implemented schemes under Rural Development, Land Resources, Social Welfare, PHED and PWD.
The note further stated that in his interaction with the beneficiaries of the schemes, Laskar strongly reminded the villagers that the government is giving full power to the villagers for community development. He added that this could be achieved only through proper and judicious utilization of fund.
The note stated that monitoring of each rural development scheme ensures that the objectives of the schemes are achieved in full measure. It added that monitoring is the continuous internal assessment of project implementation in relation to agreed schedules and the use of inputs, infrastructure and services by projects beneficiaries. It said that this procedure can provide qualitative and quantitative data using indicators that can serve as inputs to evaluation exercises.
