Kohima, August 19 (MExN): The Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland has informed that the period for filing claims and objections with regard to the Photo Electoral Rolls is from October 1 to 31. The draft publication of Electoral Rolls will be released on October 1. The schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls was announced by the Election Commission of India with January 1, 2017 as the qualifying date. Reading of relevant part/section of photo electoral rolls in Gram Sabha/Local Bodies and RWA meetings etc. and verification of names will be carried out from October 7 to 14. Special Campaign dates with Booth Level Agents of political parties for receiving Claims and Objections is from October 8 to 22. The date for Disposal of Claims and Objections is November 30.
