Phek, August 6 (MExN): Chakhesang Clean Election Movement launching event with the theme, ‘my vote, my future’ was held at Pfütsero Town Centre on August 6.

Rev Dr Kuzhopoyo Tunyi, Convener, Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) chaired the programme while opening and declaration was done by Rev Khrotso Mero, Executive Secretary, CBCC. Others who spoke included Zhonelü Tunyi, President, Chakhesang Mothers Association; Mikha Kenye, President, Chakhesang Public Organization; Japheth Woch, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pfütsero; and Vesatso Tetseo, President, Chakhesang Christian Revival Council of Churches.

CCEM in a press release said that the speakers urged the people to exercise their voting rights for right voting which would lead to progress. The meeting started with a prayer by Rev Vepocü Epao, Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church, Pfütsero and the event concluded with benediction by Rev Dr Neingupe Chiero, Senior Pastor, Pfütsero Town Baptist Church.

The event was attended by hundreds of leaders from churches, public, colony and well-wishers. “CEM will continue to make a movement for Clean Election in the coming years,” it added.
