Kohima, January 9 (MExN): The Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) has stated ‘it is greatly disturbed by the heinous crime committed by no other then personnel of Law enforcing agency whose job is to protect and ensure public security at all times.’
Condemning the incident where a woman succumbed to injuries after a physical altercation with her husband on December 24 evening in Kohima, CHK stated that the crime allegedly committed by a policeman and accomplices in New Reserve Colony, Kohima has shocked the entire citizens. ‘The heinous crime committed by the savage husband of the victim has put every peace loving citizens to shame and deserve no sympathy in the society,’ it stated.
The CHK therefore, urged the State prosecution and the Police to expedite the legal processes and award befitting punishment to sent strong deterrent to the peace loving society. “The CHK shall not compromise with the authorities and agencies concern for any negligence or leniency that may lead to granting of Bail or interfere in the processes of justice delivery,” it affirmed.
Meanwhile the hoho has expressed appreciation to the Naga Hospital authority and the South Police Station for their timely and appropriate steps taken towards delivery of Justice.
