Chümoukedima, July 29 (MExN): Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) organised a coordination meet with leaders of Kuki villages under Chakhroma jurisdiction at CPO Hall, Chümoukedima on July 29. 

CPO President, Zhato Kimho and Jt Secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu in a press release stated that the house deliberated on a number of issues including the ongoing conflict between the Kukis and Meiteis in Manipur and appealed for early settlement of differences amicably. 

“It was disclosed that hundreds of displaced Kuki villagers had sought refuge from different Kuki villages under Chakhroma area where CPO also extended helping hands through relief materials earlier in June,” the CPO release added. 

Meanwhile, the organisation has assured to provide all possible assistance to the needy people wherever possible and urged them to work together in coordination. 

The house also reaffirmed the “31st July 1995 declaration” to foster better understanding and stronger ties in living together under Chakhroma region.
