Wins for Silver Machete, United XI and Police Baptist Church Chümoukedima
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 15 (MExN): Silver Machete, United XI and Police Baptist Church Chümoukedima won their respective matches in today’s three matches of the 1st Champions Trophy T-20 Cricket Tournament oganised by Nagamese Baptist Fellowship (NBF) Sports Ministry Chümoukedima Village.
In the 1st match, Silver machete CC defeated Sunrisers by 5 wickets. Sunrisers won the toss and elected to bat first to set a target of 115 losing 10 wickets in 18 overs. Silver machete CC chased the target in 18 overs losing 5 wickets with Aosashi declared man of the match for taking 6 wickets and scoring 7 runs.
In the 2nd match, United XI defeated Vikings SC by 5 wickets. Vikings won the toss and elected to bat first, set a target of 204/3 in 20 overs however United XI achieved it in 19.1 overs to win the match by 5 wickets. Deepak was the man of the match for scoring 92 runs and taking a wicket.
Playing the last match of the day, Police Baptist Church Chumukedima won against Das Brothers CC by 124 runs.
Winning the toss, Police Baptist Church decided to bat first and set a target of 221 runs while Das Brothers CC were bundled for 97 runs in 13.5 runs. Subash was declared man of the match for scoring 77 runs and taking 2 wickets.
