DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): Changlehong Khel Morung under Nganching village was inaugurated by MLA, Manpon Konyak C on April 1.
Konyak C, in his inaugural speech, congratulated the village people for the completion of the Morung. He urged the villagers to make proper use of it and in the way, the forefathers used it. He further urged the public of Nganching in particular and the Aboi subdivision to cooperate and facilitate the government for all future developmental works.
ADC Phuleshe K Yepthomi, NCS exhorted the gathering and emphasized the importance of the Morung by stating how every important decision in the village was made in the Morung in the olden days.
Short speeches were delivered by Awan N Konyak, ex-candidate; Ashong, Convener, Construction Committee; and H Ngami, VDA Secretary. The welcome speech was delivered by Phuhton.
The inauguration programme was attended by different officials, public leaders, and NGOs.
