Charity Cabins at IMDH Inaugurated

Mokokchung | May 27 : Two charity Cabins at Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital, Mokokchung was inaugurated today by Dr. Yangerla Director, Health & Family Welfare Department. The Cabins with one room and attached kitchen and toilet was donated by Ongpangkong Watsu Mungdang in commemoration of Ongpangkong Watsu Mungdang Silver Jubilee.
During a brief inaugural programme Dr.Yangerla lauded the Ongpangkong Watsu for their initiatives and contribution towards the welfare of the people, a good example for the others too She said even before the starting of the concept of communitization IMDH has received  a lot of contribution in cash and kind from different individuals and groups. She called upon to keep the spirit alive and join hands in contributing for the growth of the hospital.
She hoped that the hospital authority will manage the cabins making it a place for the sick and the lowly where people are not only cured in flesh but also in spirit too.
Aolepden, from the building Committee, also said that it was a dream comes true for the Ongpangkong Watsu with the construction of the building. He thanked all the committee members for their tireless effort.
The Medical Superintendent of IMDH, Dr Bendangla pointed out the importance of public participation in the management of hospital activities, and pointed out that the hospital cannot survive without public participation. Talking about the health sector scenario in Nagaland, Dr Bendangla expressed her dream of a Medical College in Mokokchung for the dream of the future our children.
The programme was chaired by Watsu. Rongsenlemla and dedication prayer was said by Temsuwati Asso. pastor MTBA which were attended by Medical superintendent IMDH, CMO and other officials, Ongpangkong Watsu and well wishers.
Department of Health & family Welfare congratulates the Ongpangkong Watsu and also expressed gratitude for their generous contribution.
