Checking of requisitioned vehicles for election duty

Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Zunheboto, Tridibesh Roy, IAS, has in a notification informed owners/drivers of the vehicles requisitioned for the conduct of General Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly that the preliminary reporting of the requisitioned vehicles is scheduled to be held on February 7 at the local ground Zunheboto from 8:00 am onwards.  

Form-12 for issue of Postal Ballot to drivers/handymans of the requisitioned vehicles will also be made available during the reporting of vehicles. All concerned has therefore been requested to report along with the copy of the requisition order and EPIC card /Electoral details. Last date for submission of filled in Form-12 at the facilitation center at the Deputy Commissioner's office will be on February 8, 2018.  

Peren: DC & DEO, Peren has in a notification informed all drivers of vehicle requisitioned for election duty to collect postal ballot form from the facilitation counter, Old DC Office, Peren during office hours from February 5 to 7, 2018.  

Meanwhile, ADC & RO, Peren, Chubawati Chang, has directed all vehicles requisitioned for conduct of election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in respect of Peren district, who failed to report on February 2 to report to Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) ground at Jalukie on February 10 at 9:00 am. Necessary action as per section 167 of RP Act, 1951 shall be initiated against those failing to comply with the direction.  

Dimapur: The owners of all requisitioned vehicle for the conduct of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2018 are informed that there will be a checking of all the requisitioned vehicles on February 10 (Saturday) at the State Stadium (Near DC office Junction) from 8:00 am onwards.  

Therefore, all concerned are informed to produce their vehicles on the above mentioned date, time and venue for checking. It is informed that the vehicles after checking will be released on the same day with further information. It is further informed to all the drivers of the requisitioned vehicles to come with the following particulars for issuance of Postal Ballot: Serial number of their names entered in the E-Roll; Number of the Polling Station on which they are enrolled; Number & Names of the Assembly Constituency in which they are enrolled.  

A press release issued by Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur stated that failure to comply with this will invite necessary action against the defaulters as per Section 167 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. (With DIPR news inputs)
