Anticipating income upto Rs. 2 crore this year

Buoyed by success of the 1st Jhum Fair 2023, the Chiechamiapfii Mechii Krotho (CMK) is gearing up to hold 2nd Jhum Fair this year too at Chiechama village in Kohima district.
Chiechama is blessed with vast agricultural land and fertile soil, making it suitable for robust agricultural activities.
The 2nd Jhum Fair 2024 has been scheduled for August 23.

CMK chairperson Neikuonuo Rüpreo expressed happiness that the Jhum Fair has been benefiting the farmers in many ways and help boosting the village economy.
The 1st Jhum Fair has generated an income of over Rs. 1 crore from the sale of organic vegetables and fruits, she said, and anticipating income upto Rs. 2 crore this year.
Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio graced the 1st Jhum Fair last year as the special guest.
Jhum Fair aim to celebrate and promote the agricultural products of Chiechama and to support and uplift the local farmers by showcasing and selling organic products. The fair provides ample opportunity to the farmers to connect with the customers.
CMK extends invitation to one and all to be part of the Jhum fair.
The Jhum fair will witness exhibition-cum- sale of cucumber, maize, fresh chillies, pumpkin, tomato, banana, etc.
It will also feature Chiechama cuisine, exhibition of local jhum products, agricultural tools and equipments etc.
