Childline Kohima celebrates Childline se Dosti campaign 2021

Childline Kohima observed the silver jubilee celebration of Childline and weeklong Childline se Dosti campaign starting from November 9 to 16.

Childline Kohima observed the silver jubilee celebration of Childline and weeklong Childline se Dosti campaign starting from November 9 to 16.

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): Childline Kohima joining hand along with other Childline partner across the country, observed the silver jubilee celebration of Childline and weeklong Childline se Dosti campaign starting from November 9 to 16.

The campaign aimed at reaching out to old and young to extend invitation to every citizen to become a friend of Childline in helping children in need of care and protection, to do bit towards making our city a safer place for children.

As part of the campaign Childline Kohima conducted a series of activities.

The campaign started with wall painting in Childline office compound and creation of Child friendly room at Childline office decorating with child friendly pictures and child friendly catch words etc.

A photo booth was set up to create awareness on Childline 1098 services, child rights and child protection acts. Dosti pledge was taken by Member Secretary Nagaland Legal Services Authority and Staff of SDO (Civil) Tseminyu and tying of Dosti band, signature campaign and setting up Childline photo booth at Mega legal camp organized by Kohima District Legal Services Authority at Tseminyu.

An awareness program was held with the Executive Members of All Nagaland Taxi Association and Line Master of Local Taxi Kohima, and tying of Dosti band. A car sticker’s campaign was held with the Local Taxi in Kohima.

An awareness program cum celebration of Children’s Day was held with Christ King catechism Children, the highlights of the program were on Childline 1098 services, Child Rights, Child Protection Acts, Demo on Good and Bad touch, Dosti pledge ,Setting up Childline photo booth and formation of the toll-free number 1098 by the children.

An awareness program conducted at Pfuchama village. The highlights of the program were on Childline 1098 services, Child Rights, Child Protection Acts, Demonstration of hand washing, Importance of wearing  Face masks, Good and Bad touch. Various recreational activities were carried out involving the children like balloon bursting, Singing, Dosti pledge and tying of Dosti band, Signature Campaign.

The weeklong campaign concluded with Childline Kohima for visibility and to create public awareness painted about Childline 1098 services on the retaining wall of Assam Rifle Camp D. Block. Childline Kohima presented a souvenir to Colonel ADM (North) and tying of Dosti band.

Childline appreciated the support of All Nagaland Taxi Association, Kohima District Legal Services Authority, Pfuchama village council, Christ King Parish catechism teachers and Assam Rifle (North) for being part of Childline se Dosti Campaign and making the weeklong celebration successful.
