Nagaland wants to grow bamboo scientifically, as Chinese does, however, the latter has suggested to follow the present trend as it has high yielding and grow faster compare to those grown scientifically.

China and North east India has the same quality of bamboo, but the varieties of bamboo more in India. Nagaland alone has reportedly 46 bamboo species. “China bamboo value has gone up to 2 billion yuan annually, and its price are going up  because its demand are going high”, Wang also added.
