Chishilimi Baptist Akukuhou Centenary Choir.

Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): Chishilimi Baptist Akukuhou celebrated its 100th year of Christianity under the theme ‘Make His Glory Known- 1 Peter 2:9’ from December 16 to 18.
According to a press release received here, “Chishilimi village has a unique history as the village did not convert to Christianity due to the intervention of missionaries but by Gods direct and divine interaction with Kushe Chishi Swu in 1922, who then spread the gospel to the adjoining Sümi and Yimkhiung regions.”
The main speaker for the centenary celebration was Reverend Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC. The other speakers included Rev Yehoshe Chishi Swu, Senior Pastor BBC, Dimapur, Rev Dr Khetoshe Aye, Pastor, Sumi Baptist Akukuhou, Unity Village and Tovishe P Shohe, ES, SABAK, Pughoboto.
The Centenary greetings were brought by Rev Hukugha Jimo, ES, SBAK Nito Mount, Rev Mülato Chishi, ES, SBAK Aizuto, Rev Dr Phughoto Sema , ES, WSBAK and Dr G Hokishe Kiho, Chairman , SABAK Executive Council Pughoboto, Eustar Chishi Swu, Rev Seksim Kasar, ES, CNC Hebron, Rev Pitolu Keyho and Rev Shitozü Achumi of Huker Village.
Choirs from Dzülhami, Chozüba and Ighanumi village participated in the celebrations, it stated.
“All representatives of the churches where Kushe of Chishilimi spread the gospel in the 1930s-50s were in attendance. The pioneering missionary families and early church stalwarts were recognised and presented with certificates,” the release added.
