Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The Chümoukedima A village has notified that it is ‘compelled to conduct surprise checking now and then, and take necessary action in order to stop our village from becoming haven for all social evils to breed freely.’ It also ‘warned’ that “Chümoukedima A village is not a night partying place, not a place or bar for alcohol, not a place to do all immoral activities in the dark.”
Chümoukedima A village, Chairman, Neikholie Shoya stated this in a press release following the incident where one Aremchang Imchen was “brutally injured” by Kevecholo and Keneiletuo Zumvu at Khopanala area under Chümoukedima Police Station. The village has extended full support to the demand of Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation “to let the law enforcing department to take immediate action and execute justice.”
Meanwhile, Chümoukedima A village has expressed disappointment that “several time the village name is tarnished by people from elsewhere and causing such undesired incidences, under the influence of alcohol and practicing all sorts of immoral activities in Chümoukedima village area.”
