Chümoukedima, July 22 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA) convened a coordination meeting with all courier/delivery service agent operating in its jurisdiction on July 9 and 11.
The meeting was held in the wake of multiple complaints by the general public against poor courier/delivery service, informed a press release issued by the CCCTA President James Kin, Vice-President Bohoto Achumi and General Secretary Medochüzo Medoze.
“Several pertinent issues dealing with improvement and efficiency of delivery/ courier service in Chümoukedima jurisdiction were deliberated and discussed at length with the responsible agencies,” it said.
While the CCCTA hauled the agencies for poor services and instructed them to ensure door-to-door services, the latter also cited their own grievances on the technical and operational difficulties faced and urged the customers to be mindful certain instruction while ordering, it added.
The CCCTA appreciated that the agencies were very accommodative and forthcoming to the suggestions while assuring good services in the future, the release said.
It further acknowledged that the concept of “online shopping and courier services is fairly new to our society requiring tweaks every now and then to improve and perfect it at both ends.”
As such, CCCTA urges the general public and service providers to be forthcoming with any issues or grievances and may approach CCCTA office at office hour, it added.
