DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): Chümoukedima District emerged victorious in the 2nd Edition Boys U-16 Multi-Days Inter-District Tournament 2025, which concluded on February 23. The tournament, hosted by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), began on January 29 and featured competitive fixtures until February 4, with the final rounds held from February 17 to 23.
Chümoukedima secured the championship after a series of hard-fought matches, displaying notable talent and sportsmanship. Mokokchung District finished as runners-up, while Dimapur District also made a strong showing in the competition.
The tournament spotlighted rising stars in Nagaland’s cricket scene, with Chümoukedima’s Aloto Sumi dominating the individual accolades. Sumi was named Player of the Tournament and also bagged awards for Best Bowler and Best Batsman. Shiva Kumar Yadav of Dimapur District earned recognition as the Best Wicketkeeper.
