Chopper services to resume from Oct 4

Revised weekly schedule and fares issued

DIMAPUR, OCRTOBER 1 (MExN): The Nagaland State Transport (NST) has informed that weekly helicopter services will resume and undertake commitments of flight with revised a weekly schedule service and new fare beginning October 4. 

A press release from the General Manager, NST informed that scheduled helicopter service, patient evacuation including VIP sorties is allowed up to 100% occupancy. Pilots and all passengers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or 15 days should have passed after taking the first dose against COVID-19 or the passenger shall have to produce negative test report taken through either RTPCR/TrueNat or CBNAAT with swab taken for testing not earlier than 72 hours from the date of travel. 

The crew and passengers are further subject to adherence of COVID-19 appropriate behavior and observance of all relevant SOPs. 

It was further informed that for chartering, at least 48 hours requisition in advance needs to be submitted to the GM’s office, NST Dimapur and additional 10 minutes flying time shall be added for flying from hanger to apron and vice versa.

The passenger carrying capacity for every sector will depend upon the load/weight of the passengers and maximum baggage of 5 kg per passenger. 

The press release informed that operation of the service is subject to weather and technical conditions, and availability of at least 80% load factor on both ways.
