Extends Christmas & New Year greetings
Kohima, December 24 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended Christmas and New Year greetings to the people of the State, highlighting the enduring values of love, compassion, humility and service to humanity associated with the festival.
In his Christmas and New Year message, the Governor said Christmas, which commemorates the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, holds special significance in Nagaland and continues to guide the people in fostering harmony, resilience and mutual respect.
As the State steps into the New Year, he called it an opportune moment to reflect on the collective journey and renew commitment to peace, unity and inclusive development.
He urged citizens to work together to strengthen social cohesion, uphold Nagaland’s rich cultural heritage and contribute meaningfully to the State’s progress and prosperity.
Expressing hope for the year ahead, Governor Bhalla he prayed that the coming year would bring peace to the land, prosperity to the people, and good health and happiness to every household.
“I pray that the spirit of Christmas fills our hearts with hope and goodwill, and that the New Year ushers in new opportunities and renewed optimism for all,” he added, wishing the citizen of the State a “Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year 2026.”
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio extended Christmas greetings to the people of the State, invoking peace, hope and joy.
“May this Christmas fill our hearts with peace and our homes with joy,” he conveyed in his message on X.
“May the message of Jesus Christ guide our lives and strengthen our hope,” he added, wishing everyone a merry and blessed Christmas.
