DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The 56th Annual Games and Sports Meet 2023 of Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur was declared open by Hyunilo Anilo Khing, Secretary, Nagaland Cricket Association on October 31. Khing in his speech spoke about the importance of sports and the opportunities it has opened for the youth.
Ahidur Rehman, former Joint Secretary and Tournament Convenor, NCA, encouraged the students to pursue cricket as a career and that parents and the school should support the desires of those talents. He mentioned how the likes of Mughavi Wotsa and Tahmeed Rehman have gone on to play first class cricket.
Earlier, a cricket practice pitch was also inaugurated by the chief guest in the presence of the NCA office bearers.
The opening ceremony saw a sequel of colourful traditional and modern dance presentations, taekwondo demonstration, and tug of war by the primary class students.
